Ready has suspended its crypto card services after its card issuer, Kulipa, unexpectedly stopped operating. According to Huoxing Finance, on July 31, Ready co-founder Itamar Lesuisse said the Paris-based crypto card provider abruptly ceased operations, leading the wallet platform to shut down its card service on Wednesday.
Eligible card subscriptions will be refunded automatically. Ready explained that user funds remained safe because its platform uses a self-custody model. Card payments draw funds directly from users' own wallets, so Kulipa did not hold customer balances when it closed.

Earlier, Solflare also confirmed that its card-issuer partner, Kulipa, had ceased operations due to solvency issues, according to The Defiant.
Ready is now building a replacement card product using new infrastructure. The company has not announced a launch date but said development is already underway. The incident highlights how infrastructure providers can affect crypto payment services even when customer assets remain protected through self-custody.
