Alicia Christian “Jodie” Foster ist eine vielseitige amerikanische Schauspielerin, Produzentin und Regisseurin. Sie begann 1965 mit der Schauspielerei und trat 1965 im Alter von drei Jahren als Coppertone-Mädchen in der Werbung auf. Anschließend arbeitete sie weiter in der Werbung und trat in verschiedenen Fernsehshows auf. 1976 bekam Jodie eine Rolle als Taxifahrerin, die ein großer Erfolg wurde. Jodie erklärte, dass der Film nicht nur ihr Leben verändert habe, sondern auch ihr erstes Mal als etwas anderes als sie selbst aufgetreten sei. Später wurde sie eine A-List-Berühmtheit, die 3 British Academy Film Awards, 2 Academy Awards, 2 Golden Globe und den Cecil B DeMille Award erhielt.
