Jane Powell – Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, geboren 1954
Jane Powell arbeitete als Sängerin in Portland, bevor sie nach LA zog, was sie zu einem Deal mit MGM führte. Ihre Karriere schoss bald darauf in die Höhe und spielte in mehreren Musicalfilmen mit Künstlern wie Elizabeth Taylor und Fred Astaire. In den 50er Jahren erlebte sie jedoch eine Dürreperiode und hatte Schwierigkeiten bei der Landung von Rollen im Film. Dies veranlasste sie, zum Broadway zu gehen, was ihren Erfolg wieder aufleben ließ! Powell hatte ein buntes Liebesleben, sah fünf Ehen und bekam drei Kinder von zwei von ihnen. Ihre längste Ehe war mit Dickie Moore, die 2015 starb.
