Es la hija de Nat King Cole y una excelente cantante de R&B. Natalie Cole se convirtió en un gran éxito en los 70, logrando numerosos éxitos. Una severa adicción a las drogas recetadas, también a la heroína y el crack casi la llevó a la ruina, incluyendo un arresto por posesión. Ella casi perdió a su hijo mientras estaba bajo influencia y él ahogándose en una piscina; también se negó a dejar un edificio en llamas mientras estaba bajo efectos de drogas. Sin embargo, logró rehabilitarse. El 31 de diciembre de 2015, murió de insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, parcialmente causada por su abuso de drogas en el pasado.
