Before dying of lung cancer in 2001, George left behind a son named Dhani, who also ventured in the music business. Dhani still practices music and is even the leader of his own band called Thenewno2. In 2017, he also released his debut studio album as a solo artist, titled In Parallel. Dhani likes to keep himself busy and has a full summer in 2019, with scheduled gigs all over the US as well as one in Canada.
