Jeff Conaway se convirtió en una reconocida estrella después de aparecer por primera vez en la popular película Vaselina, uno de los musicales más exitosos de todos los tiempos. Luego actuó en la serie de comedia Taxi (con la que logró dos nominaciones a los Globos de Oro) y Babylon 5. En el 2008 se hizo pública su adicción por las drogas y el alcohol tras participar en el reality show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Pero, tres años después recayó en la adicción, lo que posteriormente lo llevó a sufrir una sobredosis que encaminó su muerte
