Denise Robertson falleció el 31 de marzo del año 2016 después de perder su batalla contra el cáncer de páncreas. Denise era conocida por su trabajo como escritora y locutora en la televisión de Gran Bretaña. Tuvo dos matrimonios, ambos terminaron con la muerte de su marido, así que un abogado civil no formó parte de su testamento. Era una fanática Sunderland A.F.C y también fue profesora en la universidad de esa localidad, por lo que se sufrió mucho su muerte en ese lugar. Sus apariciones en Big Brother’s Bit on the Side la presentaron a las nuevas generaciones.
