Burt Kwouk había aparecido en muchas películas y programas de televisión a lo largo de todo el curso de su carrera, pero fue su papel de Cato en las películas de la Pantera Rosa el que lo llevó hasta el estrellato. Era el tipo a escoger cuando en las películas británicas necesitaban un hombre asiático. Tuvo papeles en producciones como Doctor Who e incluso en The Avengers (pero no en la película de Marvel, sino en una producción británica sobre el mundo de los espías. Falleció en 2016 debido a un cáncer.
