Olive zögert mit ihren Antworten
Als Olive das Büro der Richterin betrat, spürte sie eine gewisse Nervosität, doch sie bemühte sich, freundlich zu bleiben und sich nichts anmerken zu lassen. “Nimm Platz und mach es dir bequem. Es gibt keinen Grund, nervös zu sein”, sagte die Richterin sanft. Doch auch diese Worte konnten das Gefühlschaos in Olive nicht besänftigen.
Die Richterin holte einen Saft aus dem Kühlschrank in der Ecke und reichte ihn dem Mädchen. Anschließend stellte sie allgemeine Fragen über die Quinns und das Zusammenleben mit der Familie und erkundigte sich nach Olivias Befinden bei ihnen. Olive antwortete knapp auf jede Frage, aber ihre Nervosität war nicht zu übersehen.
