Christian Bale widmet sich seiner Karriere genauso sehr wie er sie gut beherrscht, nachdem er seinen Körper durch einige dramatische Veränderungen für seine vielseitigen Rollen geführt hat. Bale blähte seinen 6-Fuß-Rahmen 2002 auf etwa 190 Pfund Muskel für Reign of Fire auf, um kurz darauf 70 Pfund für seine Rolle im Thriller The Machinist von 2004 abzunehmen.
