Tina Louise apareceu pela primeira vez como atriz no início dos anos 1950, no palco. Ela ficou quase uma década como atriz de teatro, antes de conseguir um papel que transformaria totalmente sua carreira como atriz. Este papel foi no filme dramático chamado God’s Little Acre. Após o lançamento do filme, Tina foi premiada ao ganhar um Globo de Ouro de Melhor Estrela do Ano.
