Annie Ross – 88
A formidable force in the jazz music genre, Annie Ross left the U.S. and picked up in Europe to fulfill her musical ambitions. She’s known for being one of the founding members of the historic Lambert, Hendricks & Ross jazz trio. The band is credited for their groundbreaking history in the genre, playing alongside legends like Louis Armstrong. This didn’t go so well later when her husband died in 1975, and Ross probably needed a loan, as she had gone totally broke. Thankfully, she then got back on her feet financially.
