William Shatner is a Canadian actor who has been appearing on our TV screens for over 7 decades. His most notable role is as Captain James T Kirk in series Star Trek. After a successful career as the famous character, William found it very difficult to land any other major roles, and came close to having to file for bankruptcy. He recovered well though after getting roles in many other TV series, films and stage productions. He also went on to write several books which helped him build his net worth of $100 million.
