Maz Baer schrieb als Boxer Geschichte und wurde vom Ring Magazine, einem renommierten Boxmagazin, zur 100 Liste der größten Punchers aller Zeiten ernannt. Neben dem Boxen hatte er während seiner Zeit auch einige Schauspielrollen übernommen, darunter “Africa Screams”, “The Harder They Fall”, “The Prize Fighter and The Lady” und viele mehr. Er starb 1959 an einer Krankheit. Obwohl er das Erbe seines Vaters nicht fortsetzte, wuchs Max Baer Jr. immer noch zu einem ziemlich erfolgreichen Schauspieler und Produzenten auf. Er ist vor allem für seinen Charakter Jethro Bodine in der Sitcom-Serie “The Beverly Hillbillies” bekannt. Heute hat er ein Nettovermögen von 50 Millionen US-Dollar.
