36. Lynne Thigpen – CEREBRAL HEMORRHAGE
Carmen Sandiego fans know Cherlynne Theresa “Lynne” Thigpen for giving life to the role of “The Chief” in the series. Thigpen complained of having recurring headaches, and little did she know that she was having a cerebral hemorrhage. She died of this condition in March 2003 when she was 54. Before her passing, Lynne had won numerous awards in the industry. These included Primetime Emmy Awards and a Tony Award. This last nomination was for her performance on the play An American Daughter, where she took on the role of Dr. Judith Kaufman.
