This is not really Maggie Smith’s house but actually the place where her character, Lady Violet, used to reside in the TV historical drama, Downton Abbey. With 18 acres and 6,000 square feet of space, the Byfleet Manor is certainly an enormous beauty. Smith, who has been in the business for decades, is better known by younger generations for her role as Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movie franchise adapted from the books written by J. K. Rowling. It was announced in February 2019 that she will be going back to the stage in the play, A German Life.
