Marcia Karen Wallace se hizo popular por interpretar a la recepcionista, Carol Kester, en la comedia de los 70, The Bob Newhart Show. También por ser la voz de la maestra de primaria favorita de todos, la Sra. Krabappel, en Los Simpsons (ganó un Emmy por este papel). También apareció en la serie Full House y prestó su voz para la película de Disney Monster University. Por desgracia, fue golpeada por un cáncer de mama, luego tuvo sepsis y más tarde una pulmonía; todo esto la llevaría a su muerte el 25 de octubre de 2013.
