Maruschka Detmers – 61 jaar- Actrice
Maruschka Detmers droomde als kind al van het schitteren op het witte doek, een verlangen zo omvangrijk als haar jonge fantasie. Desondanks moest ze geduld hebben en vertrok ze naar Frankrijk om haar acteerprestaties te verfijnen. Om voor haar levensonderhoud en opleiding te zorgen, werkte ze als au pair in het centrum van Parijs. Na haar studie kreeg ze sporadisch rollen in Franse films, maar het verwachte internationale succes bleef uit. Detmers breidde haar repertoire uit met verschijningen in Italiaanse films en een aantal Amerikaanse filmprojecten. Ondanks dat ze werd geprezen voor haar acteervaardigheden, bleef een rol in een blockbuster buiten haar bereik. Een van haar scènes, die destijds een enorme ophef veroorzaakte, zal ongetwijfeld in het collectieve bewustzijn blijven hangen, ook al is het nu omhuld met de glans van nostalgie.
