Prominente artiesten die optreden onder een pseudoniem, vaak bekender dan hun eigen naam, zijn niet ongebruikelijk. Maar Connie van Breukhoven gaat een stap verder. In vroegere jaren trad ze op als de bescheiden beroemde zangeres ‘Vanessa’. Daarna transformeerde ze naar het model ‘Coco’, om daarna weer een andere persona aan te nemen, ‘Connie Zuiver’. Haar naam veranderde opnieuw bij haar huwelijk met de oprichter van Free Record Shop, waardoor ze ‘Connie Breukhoven’ werd. Ondanks dat ze geen overweldigend succes heeft beleefd, is ze bekend geworden om haar opvallende persoonlijkheid en headline-genererende huwelijk. Tegenwoordig is ze actief als ondernemer, met een focus op de verkoop van kleine auto’s. Ze is duidelijk nog niet van plan zich volledig terug te trekken uit de publieke aandacht.
