Alaska ist bekannt für seine atemberaubende Wildnis und eine beeindruckende Tierwelt, aber dass diese Wildtiere manchmal die Start- und Landebahnen von Flughäfen betreten, ist eine überraschende Realität. So wurde kürzlich ein Bär gesichtet, der die Startbahn eines Flughafens in Alaska erkundete. Während Passagiere und Flughafenmitarbeiter staunend zusahen, wanderte das Tier ungestört über die Rollbahn.
Da viele Flughäfen in Alaska mitten im natürlichen Lebensraum von Wildtieren gebaut wurden, sind solche Begegnungen keine Seltenheit. Was den Bären anlockte, bleibt unklar. Vielleicht war es der Geruch von Lebensmitteln, das Dröhnen der Motoren oder die bloße Neugier. Eines ist sicher: Der Flugverkehr musste eingestellt werden, bis der unerwartete Besucher wieder im Wald verschwand.
