Flughäfen sind bekannt für unerwartete Begegnungen und besonders in den USA kann man am Flughafen immer wieder Hollywood-Stars treffen. So glaubte ein Passagier am Flughafen von Nashville, Tom Hanks entdeckt zu haben. Mit dem typischen Haarschnitt, einem klassischen Anzug und sportlichen Turnschuhen wirkte der vermeintliche Star täuschend echt.
Die Haltung und die Mimik passten ebenfalls perfekt zu dem berühmten Schauspieler, was dazu führte, dass einige Passagiere heimlich Fotos machten. Die Ähnlichkeit war so verblüffend, dass selbst nachdem klar war, dass es sich um einen Doppelgänger handelte, viele noch zweifelten. Solche Begegnungen machen das Warten am Flughafen unterhaltsam und zeigen, dass die Grenze zwischen Realität und Täuschung manchmal verschwimmt.
