Ross Hull – Became A Well-Known Meteorologist

Ross Hull is a Canadian actor who was born in Montreal. He rose to fame as Gary on the television series Are You Afraid of the Dark? Before his break through on the series that run for more than 65 episodes he had a few minor roles. After the show wrapped up he played Chris Sheppard in Student Bodies. 

In 2004, after appearing on Stargate Atlantis, Hull decided to retire from acting and instead pursued his passion for meteorology. He enrolled at Mississippi State University and later earned a bachelor’s degree in radio and television arts from University of Toronto.

After an appearance on Stargate Atlantis in 2004, Hull retired from acting to pursue his real passion for meteorology at Mississippi State University where he completed the program and then enrolled at Ryerson University in Toronto to earn his bachelor’s degree in radio and television arts. Today he works as a meteorologist for a Canadian News TV station. He is openly gay and loves travelling, hiking and rock climbing.
