Mit entschlossenem Blick näherte sich Greg dem Zaun, fest entschlossen, seiner Nachbarin Sandra die Meinung zu geigen. Doch ihre unverblümte Antwort ließ ihn sprachlos zurück: „Meine Kinder werden deinen Pool weiterhin benutzen“, sagte sie mit erstaunlicher Selbstverständlichkeit. Greg spürte, wie seine Geduld an ihre Grenzen kam. Wie konnte sie so dreist sein, einfach sein Grundstück zu vereinnahmen?
Doch statt laut zu werden, blieb Greg beherrscht. In ruhigem Ton machte er sie auf die steigenden Kosten für die Poolpflege aufmerksam. „Und das ist noch nicht alles“, fügte er sachlich hinzu, „dein Hund hat erneut Schäden angerichtet.“
