Burt Reynolds – Invited By A Professor To Audition For A Play
Burt Reynolds did not see himself pursuing acting when he was growing up. When he was a student at Florida State University, he was on a football scholarship. He was on his way to the NFL when a serious injury made him forget about becoming a future football star. Reynolds got into acting when a professor of his made him audition and later star in a play. His performance in the play was so good that he was given a Hyde Park Playhouse scholarship. He pursued acting seriously and became a huge star, thanks to his roles on Gunsmoke, Deliverance, and Boogie Nights. Sadly, Reynolds died in September 2018 due to a heart attack.
