Sitting in the living room, time felt like it had slowed to a crawl. Every second dragged on as Adam and I debated calling the police. Was it too soon? Should we wait? Finally, we decided to give it a few more hours, hoping that Jason would walk through the door.
While we waited, I tried to contact his friends. Maybe one of them had seen him or at least heard something, but with every call, I was met with the same response: no one had heard from him. The not knowing gnawed at me, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
