Victoria Wood fue una mujer de muchos talentos. Aparte de ser una actriz muy divertida, ella también hizo algunos trabajos como escritora, directora e incluso como cantante y compositora. Ganó un premio BAFTA en el año 1986 debido a su en el programa Victoria Wood as Seen on TV. Asimismo, su trabajo en Housewife, 49 le valió ser reconocida como la mejor actriz británica del 2007. En el 2015, se le diagnosticó cáncer y tristemente falleció un año después de su diagnóstico. Mantuvo oculta su enfermedad, ya que no quería que nadie la viera durante los tratamientos.
