Cassandra Peterson ha iniziato come piccola showgirl di Las Vegas alla tenera età di 17 anni, ma il successo l’aspettava molto dietro l’angolo! Elvira è diventata una sensazione per gli spettatori in tutto il paese e Peterson ha sfruttato il suo recente successo realizzando film come Elvira Mistress of the Dark e Elvira’s Haunted Hills. Ha anche donato ingenti somme ricavate dai suoi film a organizzazioni per l’HIV / AIDS e organizzazioni benefiche per il mondo animale.
