You know you have made it in life when even at the age of 97, you get hired as a model to strut the stuff on a runway. That is the story of famous fashion designer Iris Apfel, who was recruited by the ‘IMG’ models in 2019 and is among the oldest models to grace fashion shows.
Having worked as the official textile supplier for the White House in a contract spanning nine presidencies, Iris made a name for herself in the fashion business, achieving fame and fortune in equal measure. The businesswoman might be a century old, but that hasn’t stopped her from wowing the masses with her creative genius.
