Rehrudel beim nächtlichen Futterfest
Rehe sind nachts besonders aktiv, schon mal gehört? Dieses faszinierende Foto zeigt eine Herde Rehe, die sich an einem Trog versammelt hat, um sich einen Mitternachtssnack zu gönnen. Während des Sommerhalbjahrs leben Rehe meist einzeln oder in kleinen Gruppen, bestehend aus einer Ricke und ihren Kitzen.
Im Winter jedoch bilden sie kleine Rudel von mehr als drei oder vier Tieren. In offenen Agrarlandschaften können diese Gruppen sogar über zwanzig Individuen umfassen. Es scheint, als hätten die Rehe ihre eigene Version von “Gemeinsam schmeckt’s besser” entwickelt. Vielleicht sollten wir Menschen uns eine Scheibe davon abschneiden – aber bitte nicht vom Rehmenü!
